Is that you? If not, you probably want to ask permission before redistributing it, since you don't include information about how the author licensed it.

Also, since this calls mkisofs to create the image, it may not work for the OP. As gellyfish points out above, without knowing what the constraint is, it's hard to recommend a solution.

Fortunately from http://hoopajoo.net/static/quick_scripts/mkcdbackup it appears that the program is GPL v2.
Using mkisofs isn't a problem, my code hasn't to work on non-Unix platforms (and mkisofs proably exists for windows too, anyway).
