Here's an explanation of this poll for non-native english speakers. I'm hiding it into <spoiler> tags since I don't know if it's general knowledge or, on the contrary, everybody is expected to scratch his/her head to get it. If I get some /msg's telling me it's ok to remove the tags, I'll edit this node accordingly. Update: <spoiler> tags removed, since this is now a past poll.
For non-native english speakers, like me, this poll won't make any sense at all. Puzzled, I engaged into some googling and finally managed to join enough pieces together to understand it. It's about "Jabberwocky", a nonsense-verse poem written by Lewis Carroll, the author of "Alice's Adventures in Wonderland". You can find out more here [everything2.com] and here [wikipedia.org]. Hope this helps you cast a sensible vote :^).

"uffish" isn't defined, so this can only be referring to .
After that, I'd have to say that I currently using most of my uffish thought on Calculus III, which isn't on the list. | [reply] |

Sanity? Oh, yeah, I've got all kinds of sanity. In fact, I've developed whole new kinds of sanity. Why, I've got so much sanity it's driving me crazy.

To seek it with thimbles, to seek it with care;
To pursue it with forks and hope;
To threaten its life with a railway-share;
To charm it with smiles and soap!

So when contemplating the PHB as my answer....
Somehow I'm reminded of the scene in Fight Club where Jack confronts his boss & "picks a fight" with him.
Of course, in the book he just blows him up....
Wait! This isn't a Parachute, this is a Backpack!

Missing from the list and very much a foe of those of us
"in the trenches" are the REMFs. Those do
nothings sitting in their ivory towers making more work
for us "line animals" who actually keep the
company running. PHBs are REFMs in training often times!

Hi, blue_cowdawg. I didn't know what a REMF was, so I had to Google it. Unfortunately I chose to copy your *second* use of it, where you transposed the letters. I got FMTIEWTK about ichthyoplankton... Thanks for a good (but confused) laugh.

Huh? Ivory Tower refers to academia, and has nothing to do with PHBs and the "Real World".
