catalyst crud -- recommendations?

water has asked for the wisdom of the Perl Monks concerning the following question:

Catalyst and CRUD: there seem to be several options: http://search.cpan.org/search?query=crud&mode=all

Can anyone comment on the pros and cons of Instacrud vs. Enzyme vs. Catalyst::Helper::Controller::Scaffold, or suggest other approaches?

Using CDBI, so Catalyst::Plugin::CRUD::DBIC not an option

Thanks for the advice --

water

I don't think InstantCrud vs. Enzyme is the right way to put it. Both are equally useful. If you want something quick and dirty, like from the prompt, then InstantCrud is the way to go. For something more refined and elegant---then Enzyme would probably be the way to go. There's more than one way to do it...

I've used Enzyme in a test enviroment -- I eventually decided I needed more flexability than it provided (more than what's in most CRUD, in fact). I'd agree with Khen1950fx's comment that the best tool will depend on what your end goal/project is; for me, it was obvious that Instacrud wasn't going to give me the flex I needed from the start, for example.

Does that make sense? I know it sounds like a cop-out, but it's more a case of having ran into this issue over and again, and finding that there's no simple answer. At least, in my opinion....
