<li> tags don't have to be closed in HTML so why bother?
That's a booboo on my part. I'm thinking XHTML and everything needs to be closed properly. It's a good habit to get into (which I don't always bother with). Allowing optional end tags is stupidity, but quite valid in regular HTML.
Would you critise a Perl book for using $_ ?
What? You're comparing cheese and Wednesday here. The only way I can see what you're meaning is to assume that you're pointing out that both are valid. Other than that, I have no clue as to your point. Thanks for pointing out my initial error, though.
