People typing lines like this:

my @sign_arr=('A1', 'A2', 'A3','A4', 'A5', 'A6', 'A7', 'A8', 'A9');

make the lazy man in me cringe :)

Using the range operator in list context to produce lists of automagically incremented values was one of the first things I learned to reduce typing... :

my @sign_arr = 'A1'..'A9';
