Hello Fellow Monks!

I'm David Drake of Escondido, CA. I am interested in astronomy, real time systems, seismology and amateur radio (AC6OA).

I also work for a living and have been dipped hard and fast into the World of Perl. I have used it on two major projects with great success. One for EDI routing and one for a SCADA system.
