The Academy Awards are a farce, anybody in their right mind knows that. But yes. Poor old Happy Feet. If it wasn't such a terrorist inspiring commie recruitment film (nudge nudge) ...
I vote for Happy Feet though. Even if FOX hates it. | [reply] |

Fox hating it is a decided plus, in my consideration. But then, they'd classify me as a wild-eyed, effete, eastern member of the media elite. I do live in New England, but I'm neither effete nor wild-eyed (wild haired, maybe...). I just wish I had the money to be in the media elite.

After reading the entire nominations list, I find it somewhat disturbing that the only movies on the list I've actually seen are Pirates otC:DMC, Devil Wears Prada, Cars, and Happy Feet. I still want to see Blood Diamond, though. Nothing on the "best picture" list even piques my interest.

The Ilusionist
With reconstitution of perfect time, one is about an elegant film. The photograph, wonderful, value the excellent drawing of production. At the same time where he has elements that they send to the old films, the Ilusionist has a full script of overturns, mysteries and revelations. | [reply] |

I think the movie with the terminal patient in the cast will win. (Sadly, this is no joke and is based on empirical evidence.)

I voted for 'the departed'. I liked it not as much as Infernal Affairs (it has the better ending! ;) ), but Jack Nicholson is great! | [reply] |

"Little Miss Sunshine" is the only I saw, so I voted for that. Terrific performances from the cast -- Abigail whats-her-name as the little girl (awesome), the legendary Alan Arkin as grandpa (amazing, and fiercely intense), Steve Cavell as the brother (bearded, quiet and moody, but also intense), Greg Kinnear as the dad .. very good performance from the woman playing mom, as well as the young man who played the teenager.
The story -- somewhat amusing -- but go see this movie for the characters.
