Maybe, just maybe, Spreadsheet::ReadSXC can handle it. It is the OpenOffice spreadsheet reader, and OO is XML. Being the author of Spreadsheet::Read, I'd be rather interrested in having a Excel2007 file to check on that Enjoy, Have FUN! H.Merijn
