Any recommendation? I'd suggest going with one that has very good documentation, and has a helpful contributor community around it. Actually, that's my advice for choosing any type of free software. I wouldn't factor implementation language very heavily in the decision. Personally, I've been trying to make time to look at alternatives to CVS. Bazaar is first on my list.
