Hi,

use IO::Handle; open my $Log, '>>', 'file.dat'; $Log->autoflush(1); while(<$serial>) { print { $Log } $_; }

If you need something more sophisticated (like dispatchers, file quota, etc), take a look at Log::Dispatch and Log::Log4Perl
