Problem installing Kwiki 2

frutsel has asked for the wisdom of the Perl Monks concerning the following question:

Dear Monks,

Does anybody know anything about KWIKI 2.(http://www.kwiki.org/). I have tried to install it, but when I run the command to install the wiki, "wiki -new" it throws the following error message:

Undefined subroutine &Scalar::Util::weaken called at (eval 27) line 4.

I think that some CPAN module is missing, but I can't find the module on CPAN. Does anybody know a solution for this problem. Does anybody else have experience with kwiki 2?

There are several operating systems where Scalar::Util was not getting installed correctly to. You appear to have one of them. Please install an up to date Scalar::Util from CPAN, using a "force install" if needed. Test your modules with bleadperl! rsync -avz rsync://public.activestate.com/perl-current/ . ./Configure -des -Dusedevel -Dprefix=/path/to/test/perl make test make install Now, please test you modules! If you have test failures that don't happen with Perl 5.8.8, send a simplified test case to perlbug at perl.org	[reply]

I have no experience with kwiki 2, do you have Scalar::Util installed? Martin	[reply]

What version of Perl are you running? What's the output of `perl -V` ?	[reply] [d/l]
