Three Texts Show Trinitarians Have Spirit of Antichrist

1. John 4:24: "God is a Spirit: and they that worship him must worship him in spirit and in truth."
2. Luke 24:39: "Behold my hands and my feet, that it is I myself: handle me, and see; for a spirit hath not flesh and bones, as ye see me have."
3. 1 John 4:2-3: "Hereby know ye the Spirit of God: Every spirit that confesseth that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh is of God: And every spirit that confesseth not that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh is not of God: and this is that spirit of antichrist, whereof ye have heard that it should come; and even now already is it in the world."

NOTES: The word "Spirit/spirit" in each of the verses quoted above is the word "pneuma" (pronounced p-nay-oo-ma) in Greek. The first two texts quote Jesus directly. The final passage comes from Jesus' closest disciple, who starts his letter on a similar vein with the words: "That which was from the beginning, which we have heard, which we have seen with our eyes, which we have looked upon, and our hands have handled, of the Word of life; (For the life was manifested, and we have seen it, and bear witness, and show unto you that eternal life, which was with the Father, and was manifested unto us;)" (1 John 1:1-2).

Trinitarians claim that Jesus is "God the Son." If we believe the Man himself, we must accept that God is a spirit, and that a spirit does not have flesh and bones. Therefore, strictly speaking, no Trinitarian or anyone who believes that Jesus IS God can honestly confess that Jesus came in the flesh--certainly not without contradiction to these plain passages--because God, who is spirit, does not have flesh. The Bible's teaching is simple and clear: Jesus was a Man, and God is not a man (see Numbers 23:19); however, God--even "all the fulness of the Godhead"--dwelt in Jesus (see 2 Corinthians 5:19; Colossians 2:9). God is immortal, and cannot die (see 1 Timothy 1:17; 1 Timothy 6:16). But Jesus died. God cannot be tempted with evil (see James 1:13), but Jesus was tempted (see Matthew 4:1). Hebrews 10:5,20, etc. (the whole chapter is good) teaches us that God came and inhabited a body, concealing His glory, so that we might learn of Him and have a Mediator between us and God. No one can look on God and live, and God is invisible, so no one has ever seen God (see John 1:18; 1 Timothy 1:17; Colossians 1:15). But many people saw Jesus.
