Lack of platform-detection sounds like a bug in the Tk Makefile.PL. It's not any concern of Strawberry's

Tk builds fine on Strawberry. It must be another problem, maybe a broken PATH or so.	[reply]

No, I mean the decision to require an explicit MSWin32 flag be passed to Makefile.PL is not compatible with the CPAN. Thus, a bug in the packaging of Tk.	[reply]

Tk builds fine with just `perl Makefile.PL dmake` [download] No need for command line options. This is really only needed for cygwin where one can choose between X11 libraries and native Windows GUI (but this don't work anyway).	[reply] [d/l]
