in reply to /msg me for new nodes in a thread I noded in

You may want to read the previous request for this feature. I think it's come up other times as well, but that was the only link I found on turnstep's page.

Update: In case my intent isn't clear, I want to mention that I'm not trying to discourage bringing up ideas that have already been said before. On the contrary, I think that re-starting discussion every so often reminds us of the idea and also allows people who missed the earlier discussion to add input. I think the new discussion is just better when it draws upon all the ideas that came up during previous iterations.

Oh, and I don't think darobin misunderstood my intent, I just felt it could be misunderstood when I reread my post.

Oh well, I was pretty certain that another request for a similar feature would have had to have been made but I could find it in Super Search so I figured I'd ask nevertheless, just in case... Thanks for the pointer to turnstep's page, it's a truly useful resource.

update: no I didn't misunderstand kudra's answer and indeed I think it does help to increase the number of cross-links between nodes (the density of the graph if you want).

I really need to grab the Everything source and have a look at how it's done to start patching. Good thing that vacations are coming :)
