My name is Andy, and normally that's been distinctive enough, but then I worked for a company with no fewer than six other Andys. Since I was the least senior and all of the other nicknames were taken multiple times, they took to using my last name: "Walker", which wasn't funny or demeaning enough, so someone started calling me "wokka". "walker" was taken on perlmonks... so here we are.

I was born on the same day as Yugoslavia, Lesotho and the re-unified Berlin.

I am comprised of Oxygen, Carbon and nerdy impurities.

I've been using Perl 5 for a while, and I think it's time to give back by becoming more involved in the Perl community.
