I offered him some help to bring the service up again and he replied once asking a few things; no more luck so far. He was running a Red Hat 7.x system and the web depended on PHP4 before the disk crash. I'll try to contact him again when one of my RH7 servers is spare, just in case he's still interested in revamping the site.
