    Any chance of getting support for Excel 2.1 files?

    Realistically, no. In fact I am thinking of moving a future release to just Excel 97+ and perl 5.8+ in order to minimise the maintenance difficulties.

    However, if you were interested in just reading strings and numbers I could probably write you a mini-parser for Excel 2 files.

    Open a thread in the above Google Group about it.
