Are you facing a reluctant audience, or one with people eager to get into Perl?
It's a conference for developers (500 of them) coming from several distinct backgrounds (Perl, Python, Ruby, PHP, Java, C/C++, etc). No one is forced to go and see my talk, so I imagine I'll only have interested people in the audience.
