Do you like XML?

use XML::Simple;

my @array = qw(balack white green red);

print XMLout(\@array, RootName => undef, NoIndent => 1);

__OUTPUT__
<anon>balack</anon><anon>white</anon><anon>green</anon><anon>red</anon
