I agree with you; asking about embedding $anything in Perl would not be off-topic. However, the original post does not seem to contain anything Perl-related in it. This could be due to my misunderstanding of web technologies in general, but without a better-worded request from the original monk, it appears completely off-topic and should likely be treated as such. Edit: Not sure why the downvotes.. anyone care to clarify what is so awful about this post?
