Nothing. It is an unused variable. I was probably using it at one time, but forgot to remove it. As has been discussed many times here at the Monastery, there is no simple way to identify unused variables which have been declared with my.
It is harmless, but I will update the code in the OP to remove the variable. Thanks for the good catch.
