We have a rigid process forced upon developers. It is so cumbersome that even the most trivial change cannot take less than a man week. The justification is "improved quality", the end result is a work environment where innovation is choked off at source. I'd like to introduce a process whereby you are tested on your understanding of the work of Robert Glass,DeMarco & Lister, Boehm, Brooks et al before you are allowed your "Process Designer" licence.
