You seem to be a feminist(and a convinced one if I may add). You are highly offtopic, and you should try a feminist forum instead of whose main objective is discussion of Perl.

you should try a feminist forum instead

While I agree with you on the offtopicness, I'd say that discussing such issues on feminist forums only doesn't usually help to promote societal changes in the large (which could be considered part of feminist objectives).  I.e., it doesn't help trying to change people's minds outside of the mostly closed group of people in the forum, who are typically either friends or declared enemies of the ideas.  In other words, it's either preaching to the choir, or senselessly trying to defend one's point of view against flamebait — which, if anything, only serves to polarize opinions even more.  (I've been frequenting a feminist forum for a number of years, so I kinda know what I'm talking about...)

So, personally I do understand that people occasionally try to bring up such topics on non women centered forums, in a (maybe questionable) attempt to reach a wider audience.

Anyhow, I've become a little tired of those discussions, so /me goes back to her cave, as far as this topic is concerned :)

P.S.: IBlowGoatsSucker is not me in disguise, and I don't necessarily share his/her point of view.
