Save Sent Messages

I'm not sure if this has been previously discussed ... but I was thinking that it would be nice to be able to save one's messages sent to other monks. There are times that one sends a message to a monk and the monk may not be able to actually reply until sometime later - unfortunately if the monk doesn't actually reference the earlier message, you sometimes forget what you originally sent and are in the dark with their reply. This sometimes can create a loop of discussions of .. "what did I ask you again?" or "This was in response to what?" It's possible that I may be the only one with a horrible memory, but I thought it would be nice to save send messages and then delete them when it's convient - basically saving sent messages in one's message inbox. I discussed this with footpad and he suggested a /msgcc tag. The message would not only be sent to the monk, but also sent to yourself. I thought to re-open or open this discussion..and ask for thoughts on this idea?

My chatterbox client framechat has two variations of this ability.

    1. The message inbox has a generic 'cc-to-self' function (doesn't reflect who you responded to).
    2. The private chat feature 'msgchat' sends you a copy of each message sent with a 'To:"username"->' prefix.

Before framechat I used to just resend long /msgs to myself so I wouldn't forget :-)

I can see this as being a good idea, even helpful (to me especially, since I can't remember what I did 4 hours earlier sometimes) but it would be up to our fearless leader to implement this idea, and he tends to be overworked enough as it is.
