"Do my work for me." is not a good start to any discussion. You've been treated nicer than you deserved and even if before your outburst someone might have felt like posting a solution (to start an open discussion about the pros and cons of his solution) no one will do that now.
Doesn't seem to me like you've learned anything. Back to kindergarten with you!

Had you made any attempt to learn -- in this case, learn the social norms or mores of this site -- it would undoubtedly been more fun... and certainly would have demonstrated your respect for the people whom you're asking for help.
In fact, learning the social norms is what more toddlers are expected to do -- especially when joining a new group -- like daycare, pre-school, kindergarten, Cub Scouts or Brownies. (They're also discouraged from throwing tantrums. See "shoes that fit" et cetera.)
And you might wish to consider who derailed the conversation. Hint: it was not the Monk who posted links to documents which -- if "difficult to understand" -- are pre-requisites for many projects you may wish to undertake nor was it the Monk who referred you to a very clear statement of what this site is about and how those visiting here can participate (which is to some extent like blending-in) successfully, but it may be the Novice with 14 writeups over more than a year who (despite ample opportunity to understand our norms) went -- in the space of less than 30 minutes from the author of an inappropriate but pleasant node to the raving boor (troll?) who posted the first grandchild.
And lest I forget, many if not most of the Monastery's denizens earn their living by writing code. Why would you feel free to be rude to those who offer to help but not to donate the freebie you asked for?
Update: s/40 writeups/14 writeups/; TY, Honorable Dragon.

Not that you'll read it anyway, but let me dissect your last comment here so that you'll know exactly why you're getting the reaction that you're getting.
I'm not really demanding anything. If someone wants to post an honest reply to the question, then they are welcome to do as such. Derailing the conversation is just plain rude.
Nobody (well at least none of the regulars) here want to do someone else's work or homework without them even trying. If you would have finished your post with a bit of code that you tried to get working, you would have received nothing less than all the help you'd ever want, perhaps with some suggestions on how to even make it better. I've been around here long enough to know that's how it works.
Personally - at this point - I could care less what people think of the question. It's so far off track now that it wont get answered.
You bet your ass it won't get answered, not with the disrespect you've shown the people here that you've been asking to do your work for you.
And why?
Because some fuckwit had to put in their bad opinion instead of just shutting the hell up.
Corion just had the distinct pleasure to reply to your post first, as most, if not all, of the monks here would have responded with the same type of response, although probably not as politely as Corion did.
I viewed Corion's profile, and he is listed as a "sage". He disusts me. He has influence over the site, and, yet, he discourages open discussion because he doesn't like the nature of the question.
Not knowing what 'distust' means (assuming you meant disgusts) and obviously not being here long enough yourself to have a clue as to who the helpful and knowledgeable people are here, you obviously had your own preconceptions about what type of site this is. It's a learning site, not a 'I need this done' site. Nobody here gets any money for what they do on/for this site, so treat them as they are, polite favors.
Well, I dont like the nature of his response; imho, he gives gurus a bad name.
Too bad, I'm delighted when I get a response from Corion or anyone else on this site. I've learned more about Perl from this site in 1 year than I have from weeks of training, books, and tinkering with it myself. It's too bad you start yourself off here as a complete asshole. First impressions are usually the strongest.
Take it from a disappointed newbie. Maybe he can program, but as a teacher and a person, he should learn when to keep his fucking mouth shut. I'm sick of people like him, and I no longer care. Way to go, Guru!
Have you EVER had a teacher that just gives you the answer without you trying to figure it out yourself? Where's the learning in that? If that's how your teachers taught, then they suck.
You can answer the question; Lock the post or my account; Delete it; or whatever you want at this point.
If you all dont like my attitude, then maybe you can treat people with a little more respect in the future.
Again, too bad, this place is loaded with respect. Too bad you weren't respectful enough yourself to find it.
What a fun learning experience this has been.
Now this is the most ironic statement of the whole post. If you were looking to actually learn something, perhaps you would have taken Corion's advice and tried something yourself first.
Good riddance. | [reply] |

"I'm not really demanding anything."
You are asking for advice, when someone provided advice on what to read up on rather than give you 100% working solutions you behave like a spoiled child.
"Personally - at this point - I could care less what people think of the question."
Actually, I think peoples opinion of the question is that the person who asked it isn't interested in learning, and will react with a crazed outburst of offensive language and wild, unfounded accusations if they don't get exactly what they want. We see this from time to time here.
"I viewed Corion's profile, and he is listed as a "sage". He disusts me. He has influence over the site, and, yet, he discourages open discussion because he doesn't like the nature of the question."
Not that Corions reputation requires defence, something you know already because he previously advised you. In my experience there is no evidence of Corion discouraging discussion, and I'm sure you have no evidence to back up your statement. Also, I think you meant: s/disusts/disgusts/
"Take it from a disappointed newbie"
You've been here over a year and have posted several times. I'd hardly call you a newbie.
"You can answer the question; Lock the post or my account; Delete it; or whatever you want at this point.
If you all dont like my attitude, then maybe you can treat people with a little more respect in the future."
I think you'll find that this is one of the most helpful online communities around. Perhaps not what you're looking for since you seem to react badly to sound advice. If you don't like something simply don't use it. Simple as that. Feel free to read the site documentation regarding account deletion.
In conclusion:
- You posted essentially asking for someone to do your job for you.
- You posted a very similar question almost exactly a year before this one. You clearly didn't learn from the advice given there, which some people reiterated in part here.
- You ignored the advice given in How do I post a question effectively?
- You've shown no evidence that you've tried to solve the problem yourself.
"What a fun learning experience this has been."
I'm not convinced learning anything is your goal.
