If you're pulling the emails from an Outlook folder (an Outlook client), then Win32::OLE works for me.

Have a look at http://www.vinsworld.com/software/dtach.html direct download at http://www.vinsworld.com/software/dtach.zip

You'll need to figure out your exact syntax, but to pull the body out of Inbox messages, you'll just need:

dtach --no-attach -I body
