I think that when a newbie asks a question you should first berate him for not using 'strict'. Then you should tell him that he should have used Supersearch before posting his questions. Finally you should accuse him of trying to get us to do his homework assignment for him.

These practices will win friends for the Perl community and encourage others to join us.
