A car doesn't go anywhere without petrol, but it isn't a design flaw (bug) in the car.

    I agree lack of petrol does not constitute a bug in a machine designed to run on petrol, however if we look at the angle of future design of auto-mobiles, running them on petrol at all might be considered a design flaw, necessary at present because of insufficient understanding of physics to design them better as we will one day.

    Where that analogy ties back to software and the origin of this thread is beyond me. I think we have firmly crossed the line into meaningless waffle.

      I agree with argument I argued against, but if I tangent off the tangent, I can argue I'm a waffle
