I upvoted you but...you should really publish your source to sourceforge, first for those not using windows 64 (probably most of the monks), second to display your good intentions, third to comply with your own license (GPL) :)

    The original author is free to comply with the GPL or not, as the original author has all rights to relicense the work under any license whatsoever. The GPL is based on copyright, and the original author is the copyright holder of the original work and thus cannot infringe on any license.

      Of course, but he shouldn't advertise the program as GPL if it really isn't, because it's wilfully deceptive.
        The way I understand it, once you say it is GPL, anyone who obtained (downloaded) said program is entitled to a copy of the source code :)
