That begs the question: What private information does PerlMonks collect on users?

I think someone once mentioned the email addressed used to register it kept somewhere. And of course, it probably saves your IP addresses in the access logs which are surely rotated into oblivion after a few days.

Is that it?

When perlmonks got hacked the entire user database was stolen... god only knows how much information the hackers were able to obtain from it. Apparently the passwords were not encrypted... now where have I heard someone mention that before...	[reply]
