And I should give a monkeys what you will accept?

You're an adult. It's your prerogative to care, or not, whether people find (update: some of) your comments unnecessarily rude, aggressive, and unpleasant.

Nor do I see you using his name...

It's a silly fallacy to claim that I must either address every injustice in the world that you care about or none at all. (Should ikegami have continued that silly discussion? Probably not. Did you bait him? I believe so.)

... you are quite happy to besmirch my name

Do you now claim that you have no history of calling people liars and calling their motives into question? I certainly don't believe that anyone with janitor access here has surreptitiously added smirch to some of your posts.

you're not exhibiting exactly the same propensity as the third party

Nope; my post explains the assumption I made and my mistake, and I'm leaving it saying so. Yet everyone's more than welcome to follow the link I provided and read the entire thread. Every reasonable and responsible person can come to his or her own conclusion as to the accuracy of what I wrote.

I don't often wish that I could upvote more than once, but your post is an example ++++

Indeed. You should try doing that yourself sometime. But this time read what actually happened in context rather than making the same wrong assumptions.
