The "perlish" pythonic programmerby mrdurtal (Scribe) |

Reviewing various web-based hits for a Perl & "text mining" search, I came across a short reflection on one blog that amused me. The blogger had been perusing Roger Bilisoly's "Practical Text Mining with Perl". Thinking about the Perl coding examples, the blogger realised that these could be done in Python as well. In fact, when looking at one particular case, the blogger realised that there were two ways that one could do the same thing in Python. I smiled; a very "perlish" thing for a pythonic programmer to realise! A wider reading can enlarge your perspective. So, be careful to read well this holiday season! Cheers! mrdurtal
