Perl is like fine wine. You can drink it a month after you bottled it, but you wont enjoy it. But you take care of it for a decade or two, make sure it's stored right, regularly turn the bottles, maybe exchange the cork once or twice and respected connoisseurs will fall on their knees and beg you for more.
