Have you *declared* the 2 variables phenom told you about: $packet, $res?

I suspect that is your problem.

    still crashes

    print "Web-Sorrow (Extra Tool) DNSpull v1"; use Net::DNS; use Getopt::Long; use warnings; use strict; my $Host = "none"; GetOptions("host=s" => \$Host); # usage if($Host eq "none"){ print "Usage: perl DNSpull.pl -host example.com\n\t-host - domai +n name\n"; exit(); } print "+ ptr mx txt A AAAA KX IN records:\n"; my $packet = Net::DNS::Packet->new($Host, "PTR", "MX", "TXT", "A", "AA +AA"); print $packet->string;
      It's not crashing for me anymore, but it's not returning much information either. I assume you're trying to get information that would be returned from the "dig" command (such as dig www.example.com ANY), but I don't get that response from this module.

      Frankly, I can't make heads or tails of the module's documentation. Is there a reason you chose this one over (e.g.) Net::DNS?

        I AM using Net::DNS and im trying to make a simple dns script (I guess kinda of like dig)
