I don't have the code on-hand, but I did an extensive test using NON-TRIVIAL real data, and I observed a more-than-10x-slowdown.

If you do not want to contribute anything positive or useful to the conversation, stop posting and go back to Quora.

JSON:XS is a buggy, abandoned project and needs a re-write.

Snippets of code should be wrapped in <code> tags not <pre> tags. In fact, <pre> tags should generally be avoided. If they must be used, extreme care should be taken to ensure that their contents do not have long lines (<70 chars), in order to prevent horizontal scrolling (and possible janitor intervention).
