Hi, This comment is way too late, and I am not sure if you are okay with Vim, but, there's a way to run gVim on Windows. You just need to install the plugins. Syntastic plugin highlights the errors as soon as you save the file. It's working fine for me. I can provide my github repo links to you in case you need it.
