What's so unethical about a marketing medium? It's not hurting anyone, doing a lot less damage to the environment as bulk postal mail and probably uses up a lot less cheap labour of delivering them too.
Nothing illegal about spamming either. Jeebus, would you quit your job if you didn't agree with the colour the painted the bathroom walls?
