Thanks to Links to LAMP, Perl, etc., it occurred to me that I should release the notes from my LAMP presentation on 2003.02.12 at the Columbia Linux User's Group. The talk was an introduction and example of how to build web applications using Perl and the HTML::Template module on a Linux/Apache/MySQL server.

The paper, a combination of whitepaper/howto/slides, can be downloaded from my website in PDF, TXT, or viewed online.

I plan on revising it to translate more of the slide overviews to real instructions and to expand on some of the advanced (cgi sessions, cgi security) sections. But it should be fairly informative as is, for now.

If they must be used, extreme care should be taken to ensure that their contents do not have long lines (<70 chars), in order to prevent horizontal scrolling (and possible janitor intervention).
