IMHO,
There is nothing wrong with learning another language. There is nothing wrong with learning a language used in Microsoft products. We are starting to use VB .Net as a GUI at my place of work and one of the programmers told me yesterday that he was really enjoying the experience. He said it had regexes and the syntax reminded him of perl at times. Go Learn! Have Fun!
