I think that PDL is used as a writer would use
an outline. Personally, I'm not that type of writer or
programmer. I'd rather just use comments in my code, rather
than writing pseudocode (which PDL seems similar to me).
I think it can be rather useful, but not necessary. It does
help those out there (programmers) that do not like to comment their code .. to remember and comment everything and
make sure everything is well documented.

Posts may use any of the Perl Monks Approved HTML tags. Currently these include the following:
<code> <a> <b> <big>
<blockquote> <br /> <dd>
<dl> <dt> <em> <font>
<h1> <h2> <h3> <h4>
<h5> <h6> <hr /> <i>
<li> <nbsp> <ol> <p>
<small> <strike> <strong>
  <table>
<td> <th> <tr> <tt>
<u> <ul>
-
Snippets of code should be wrapped in
<code> tags not
<pre> tags. In fact, <pre>
tags should generally be avoided. If they must
be used, extreme care should be
taken to ensure that their contents do not
have long lines (<70 chars), in order to prevent
horizontal scrolling (and possible janitor
intervention).
