Hello Monks
I'm writing a Perl script to gather hardware and OS configuration information. I would like to know what are the parameters I need to consider to include in my script.
Basic things like
- OS
- OS version
- Bit Type
- Memory
- Speed of CPU
- No of CPU's
can anybody please expand the list of parameters to be include, it would be greatful.
Thanks

Posts may use any of the Perl Monks Approved HTML tags. Currently these include the following:
<code> <a> <b> <big>
<blockquote> <br /> <dd>
<dl> <dt> <em> <font>
<h1> <h2> <h3> <h4>
<h5> <h6> <hr /> <i>
<li> <nbsp> <ol> <p>
<small> <strike> <strong>
  <table>
<td> <th> <tr> <tt>
<u> <ul>
-
Snippets of code should be wrapped in
<code> tags not
<pre> tags. In fact, <pre>
tags should generally be avoided. If they must
be used, extreme care should be
taken to ensure that their contents do not
have long lines (<70 chars), in order to prevent
horizontal scrolling (and possible janitor
intervention).
