Oh. And finally, I asked it to convert the optimised form and output it as C++. The interesting bits are at the top and the very bottom; there is a load of Windows API stuff that I can't be bothered to delete: It seems at 3000+ lines, it is too big to post here, but man is it ever interesting. Not that I'd want to maintain it in that form; but can you imagine converting all the Perl sources into C++, loading it up into a new respository and annotating it and then using that to construct a properly object-oriented Perl5 source tree? Proper inheritance of the SVt_types; a full cleanup of all the cruft that has built up over the years; starting anew -- from a clean, compilable and working, if weirdly structured and named -- codebase and going forward from there?
