As you can see from this Google Search for Perl Consultants, I have the number one spot on the internet! Not only that, but merlyn has to take 4th place. And davorg? Ha! nowhere to be found. Therefore I run the premiere Perl consulting service. Period.

Just kidding. It's actually jsut the opposite. merlyn has been a boundless source of help and inspiration for me. and davorg wrote a great book on Data Munging, which has paid for itself time after time for me.

And what is funny is that typing in Perl consultant does not list me anywhere, so putting the words in the title of the page apparently helps search results.

Not very unexpected since my primary business line for the past decade has been perl training, not perl consulting. In fact, the phrase "perl consulting" appears just once on my site, while "perl training" appears roughly 40 times.

Now, considering that "perl consulting" appears once, and yet I'm the fourth slot on a Google hit, says something.

Be sure to read my standard disclaimer if this is a reply.

Someone's been feeding them pigeons on buzzword compliance drugs ;-).

Well beings as I gave up consultancy and moved into a permanent job back in June it doesn't really bother me where I come :)

But if you change the search term to perl consultancy then I come 11th - which isn't too bad I guess.
