I'm 23 years old, in May of 2005 I received my Master's degree in Bioinformatics from the Rochester Institute of Technology, where I was also employed as a System Administrator and helped teach a Perl course.
I'm currently a PhD student in the department of Genome Sciences. Right now I'm working in the lab of Dr. David Baker, studying protein structure prediction. Structure prediction is a very difficult problem, and we just released an application to allow people to donate their spare computing cycles to our research efforts.
In my spare time I'm a BioPerl developer, and I've helped out a bit on a BioPerl HowTo for Beginners.
