So here I am reading Creating Web Applications With Mozilla which is pretty cool; you create a Moz app using XUL files, CSS, and JavaScript (exactly analogous to building a DHTML web app with HTML, CSS, and JavaScript).

The book mentions that work is being done to allow Perl as an alternative to using JavaScript, and also to create bindings to allow XPCom component objects to be written in Perl.

Anyone know if any progress is being made? I couldn't find any tangible results in Google.
