Any discussion of uniqueness should always contain, at the top, a discussion of List::MoreUtils uniq(). (That module is just crazy good anyways, as is List::Util).
My criteria for good software:
  1. Does it work?
  2. Can someone else come in, make a change, and be reasonably certain no bugs were introduced?
