HTTP-404 has asked for the wisdom of the Perl Monks concerning the following question:

Hello I'm currently working with 1024x768 images, cool huh? but is it that cool for 56k'er to d/l 30 of them to see a site. What i'm asking is it possable using Perl's GD or smthn else to reduce size of these pictures and make thumbnails thnx in advance

    I use ImageMagick. But, there are other ways. I believe merlyn has an article on this somewhere on his site.

    You really ought to try using Super Search! Given the word "thumbnail" it produced quite a few links, and this looks like a good example to start with.

    I use ImageMagick... you can either use the convert program in backticks, or the PerlMagick module on CPAN, real straightforward

    I used WebMagick, which is built on top of ImageMagick.
