I wasn't sure under which section this post would be most appropriate ... I apologize if I chose poorly.
I truly enjoy working with Perl and have recently been “cutting my teeth” on OOPerl in projects here and there. My enthusiasm for OOP has led several people to suggest Python (and/or Ruby) as a strong alternative to Perl. I am hoping to elicit the thoughts and observations of my fellow monks regarding Python.
My intent is NOT to spark a Perl vs. Python flame war but to delicately weigh the issue of OOP support in Perl vs. the (seemingly native) OOP qualities of Python.
Your thoughts and advice are appreciated as always.
