I downvoted this node because you threw in what I consider to be a baseless accusation against my employer in an exaggerated guilt-by-association fashion that's bereft of facts. I can't remember the last node I downvoted, for what that's worth.

I think you have a vendetta against O'Reilly based on very shaky grounds; based on my research of copyright, the law, as practiced allows up to a year's grace period of the date of copyright registry so as to allow the copyright holder the full protection of the law!

Of course, since the company believes so strongly in Founder's Copyright that all new contracts include a page explaining our views on limited copyright terms and asking the author to agree to release the copyright after 7 or 14 years and people are slowly contacting authors of existing books to sign the same release, it doesn't really matter.

Granted, I have an interest in the success of my employer, but it also gives me access to facts I think you've ignored.

You're welcome to disagree with me, but you wanted to know why people downvote you. That's my reason. I hope it helps.

The majority of the community insults

Iím not sure why you keep on with this ďmajority of the communityĒ, as I pointed out repeatedly, the majority of the community hasnít ever even mentioned you.
Let say every one of your posts was responded to by 10 insults, each of which was initiated by a different person. As of now, you have 468 posts, so that would be 4680 insults from 4680 people. There are currently 30550 registered monks. That would make 15% of community insulting you. 15% is not a majority, and the actual percentage is going to be FAR less, since you donít get anywhere near 10 responses per post, the responses you do get are usually from the same people, and not all of the responses are insults.

TELL ME WHY, AND DON'T USE AN AFTER-THE-FACT INSULT OF MINE, THAT WAS IN RESPONSE TO SOMEONE'S GROSS MISTREATMENT OF ME, AS AN EXCUSE!

Iím not going to analyze all 468 of your posts for you. Iím just explaining my observations and trying to provide you with insight as to why you reputation is where it is. If you donít want to listen to my advice, that is your choice, but have you noticed your reputation been getting any better since you have started this tirade? Your current behavior isnít helping you any.

And stop hiding behind Anonymous Monk. I already know you have problems because of your position on this, but your hiding shows you're even a bigger loser.

This is why I donít have a login. And you have just insulted me directly when I have gone out of my why to politely explain things as I see them. If you want me to stop respond to your posts, just say so Iíll stop responding.

No, my own insults don't give me an insight into why people are downvoting me. TELL ME WHY, AND DON'T USE AN AFTER-THE-FACT INSULT OF MINE, THAT WAS IN RESPONSE TO SOMEONE'S GROSS MISTREATMENT OF ME, AS AN EXCUSE!
I downvote EVERYONE who calls others idiot, asshole, suck regardless of WHY/WHEN.
You, Tim Vroom, and the majority of monks continue to suck
I never seen Tim Vroom or the majority of monks insult you. You continue to insult everyone in every one of your responses which is why you keep getting downvoted.

You have devoted far too much time and into "defending" yourself around here. You deserve a lengthy time out. Go talk to a therapist, priest, a friend, someone in the real world and forget about this place and relax, you'll live longer.
