"dws" are my initials. Back when I did my serious teething (on PDP-10 assembly language), the practice was to use initials when signing code. The practice stuck. I have been, at various times and in various contexts,

DWS
/dws
dws:   (anyone remember TOPS-10 ersatz devices?)

~dws/

I tried for dws.org, but the Dallas Wind Symphony beat me to it. Better them than me, I suppose.
